A silver XPENG MONA L05 on a coastal road during the Golden Outer Ring drive

Ahead of the MONA L05 going on sale on 29 October 2026, XPENG sent one car from Guangzhou to Heihe along China’s “Golden Outer Ring”, the G219, G331 and G228 national highways: more than 8,000 km, three climate zones and a temperature range of over 45°C, with seven automotive creators taking turns at the wheel. We ran the execution on the road.

What we delivered

  • On-road execution of the Guangzhou–Heihe drive, one car from start to finish
  • The creator relay: seven automotive creators driving in turn
  • Six tests along the way, from 500 km of assisted driving without a takeover to 24 hours living in the car
